Job Title: Cash and Risk Manager

Position Type:Full Time

Location: Denver, CO

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000

Bonus: 10%

Position Objective:

The primary objective for the Cash and Risk Manager will be to manage incoming and outgoing cash effectively and develop strategies to optimize the cash position of the company.

Principal Responsibilities:

Cash Management:

  • Responsible for effectively managing the incoming and outgoing cash flow of the company.
  • Develop strategies to optimize the company’s cash flow and position.
  • Experience forecasting cash requirements and demand through analysis of approved budgetary needs and financial reporting.
  • Experience forecasting daily cash position by utilizing receipts and disbursements in a timely manner.
  • Ability to accurately analyze and prepare reports pertaining to cash flow management of the company.
  • Maintain integrity and accuracy in financial transactions and reports.
  • Manage and develop investment and loan procedures by analyzing fund needs and surplus funds as needed.
  • Evaluate investment options and risk factors before investing surplus funds.
  • Develop and execute standard operating procedures to improve efficiency in cash collections, funds transfers, cash disbursements, month-end account closing activities, and inter-departmental reporting.
  • Create new systems for optimizing cash inflow from all business activities reducing the risk of losses due to credit.
  • Responsible for maintaining a permanent backup of all company financial data.
  • Familiarity with managing bank relationships and communicating/addressing any account issues and queries. Includes managing bank compliance and covenant reporting.
  • Develop financial reports to assist management in making appropriate decisions regarding debts.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of financial records, Develop professional knowledge on cash management processes and techniques.
  • Develop and effective Accounts Receivable process.
  • Responsible for managing effective and safe handling techniques regarding and cash pickups.
  • Develop credit policy.
  • Develop POS controls and training.

Risk and Insurance:

  • Responsible for managing initial placement, rebids, and insurance renewals.
  • Develop strategies to maintain low-loss ratios across all business functions.
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service is being met across the company.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with internal and external policies.
  • Perform insurance functions as needed, including processing claims, billings, and policy changes.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree Required – Finance and Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years on increasing experience in cash and risk management

Knowledge and Other Desired Qualifications:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Computer skills required include working knowledge of email and Microsoft software programs, especially Excel.
  • Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure and tight deadlines.
